Year 5 Day

On Wednesday 13 july, Year 5 children from local primary schools visited Highdown School for the day to see the differences between their normal school life and that in a Secondary school.
The children were divided into groups to take part in a variety of lessons during the day with Science, Art and Maths being very popular. At break, after pizza and a drink, and lunch they had time to enjoy the grounds. One group was responsible for creating a newspaper about the events of the day.
Also during the day, teams from four of the schools took part in a Technology challenge.

Everybody met up again in the main hall at the end of the day with their parents for a talk from the Headteacher,Mr Royle.
Here are some pictures of the day.
